Before you visit

A few barn basics.

We live and work here, so please treat our property with respect. Please read these rules before every visit to help keep dogs, horses and people safe.

No smoking or vaping anywhere on our propertyKeep dogs on leash until inside the barnCurrent vaccinations requiredEnter only at your booked timeLeave at the scheduled 50-minute markKeep dogs away from horses
Vaccinations, supervision & private playdates

All dogs must have current vaccinations. Your booking is private: bring your own pups or invite compatible dog friends, pay the extra dog/vehicle fees, and supervise every dog in your group throughout the visit.

Arriving safely at a working horse barn

Drive slowly and keep car windows up so barking does not startle the horses beside the driveway. Keep your dogs on leash until you are inside the barn. Do not let dogs approach the horses. Enter only through the designated northwest corner side door. The main front door and the horse-barn area are off limits to dogs. The adjoining barn is locked off, but you may hear people and horses. You may lock the door behind you for safety.

Your appointment time & leaving on time

Do not enter before your appointment, even if there are no cars outside; the space may still be in use by dogs or riders. Leave at the scheduled 50-minute mark, 10 minutes before the hour, so the barn can be checked before the next guest. A late arrival does not extend your visit.

Bathroom breaks, cleanup & sandy footing

Let your dogs relieve themselves outside before entering, while keeping them away from the horses. Pick up all poop and put it in the bin just outside the door. If a dog marks a wall, use the provided spray; tell Sandy if the bottle is empty. Break up urine spots in the sand with a little kick. No digging. Report any mess left by a previous guest. Because this is a working horse arena, small traces of horse manure may remain in the footing.

Barn equipment & grooming

Leave equipment, jumps, decorations, and hanging tack alone; do not move them. Grooming is allowed only if you collect every bit of shed hair and dispose of it.

Toys, fetch & looking after the space

Let Sandy know if any toys are damaged. Bring your own if your dog is hard on toys, and hang the barn toys on a hook to keep them out of reach. When throwing balls or frisbees, aim away from lights, metal walls, windows, and mirrors.

What is available & what should I bring?

Chairs, extra poop bags, and a water bucket are available. Bring favourite toys if you like, and dress for an arena that is cooler than outdoors. There is no bathroom on site; plan a stop in Leduc Common before your visit if needed.

Changing or cancelling a booking

No refunds are offered. Contact Sandy at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or request a booking change.
